Storytelling is the connective thread through all of my work.
Originally from the Midwest, I’m drawn to photography for its anthropological and historical power — preserving moments, people, and places across time. I see myself as a timekeeper, creating visual narratives that connect communities both locally and globally.
After more than a decade working in newspapers, I adapted alongside the changing journalism industry and shifted my focus toward education, health, and conservation — the issues I found myself most passionate about after documenting life in more than 50 countries and living abroad across Europe, Asia, and Central America. Along the way, I’ve been driven to capture the surreal, the simple, the colorful, the whimsical, and the beautifully human moments that often make us laugh and keep perspective.
Now based in Denver, Colorado, I’m always ready for the next adventure — often with less than 24 hours’ notice.
